Why should I chose The Bee’s Knees Custom Design over picking out my invites online?

We are so glad you asked! From your initial inquiry to your big day, we make sure that you receive a customized experience. There is so much more that goes into it than simply picking out colors and changing a date and then placing the items in your cart. Everything about you, your story, your wedding venue, etc. are all unique, so the design needs to be unique to you! You have a personal contact with us to make sure your story gets heard and the creation of a full wedding brand to match you, your needs and your budget. From the consultation (where we gather all ideas and come up with a design direction) to actually getting your hands on the paper, The Bee’s Knees gives you that specialized service that your big day deserves. Our goal is to make your invites, stationery and day-of extras exclusive to you and reflect your personalities 100%.

What is wedding branding?

Wedding Branding (noun): making all elements of your wedding design one cohesive style that expresses you as a couple and keeps the same look and feel from beginning to end. From save the dates, to invitations, to day-of stationery, each element is a new canvas that portrays your brand and tells your love story.

Is there any limit to what you can design?

If you can dream it, we can do it. We would love to make your wedding stationery dream a reality.

How do I get started?

If you are located in or around the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we would be pleased to schedule a one-on-one consultation. This is an opportunity to understand the design process and start generating ideas. During this meeting you will be able to see samples of what your wedding branding could be, touch and feel paper samples and learn more about the stationery process.

Our goal during this first meeting is to get a good feel for your wedding style and how we can help capture this in your invitations and much more!

Where are you located and what are your hours?

We are located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas and cover the DFW Metroplex. However it is the digital age, so we service clients from around the world!

What if I don’t live near Dallas?

Thanks to the wonderful world of technology, we can still work with you even if you’re not nearby. Most of our interaction takes place via phone and email anyway, and our file sharing system is very user-friendly. We will be able to work together in a way that suits your lifestyle and schedule. How does the approval, bid process and pricing work?

Every quote we put together is customized to your design needs.  First, we start with

1. A consultation form that gives us as much details as possible & request a Pinterest board or photos of inspiration

2. Your personal consultation

3. Your proposal is sent with an understanding of the design approach and printed products

4. Your approval of the estimate, or editing of estimate until approved

5. Invoice approval with a 50% down payment so we can get started with your custom design! All deposits are non-refundable, unless otherwise discussed.

6. Receive your first set of digital proofs within 3-5 business days. We continue to edit from there.

Remember: All pricing is completely custom to you, your budget and your wedding, or event, branding needs!

What forms of payment do you accept?

Accepted forms of payment include online payments via credit card or Paypal or check.

How long will it take to get a proof?

It all depends on the scope and detail needed for your project.  Typically, within 3-5 business days you will receive a digital proof make edits or approve. If there are numerous items being designed this timing may be extended. If there is a need for a rush design and production with the order, there will be a rush fee so that we can make you top priority and meet your deadline.

How many edits do I get?

This is one thing we are most proud of! You will receive UNLIMITED edits to modify your digital design proofs. We don’t nickel and dime you. We want it to turn out just the way you have always dreamed of!

What do you mean by “day of” design elements?

These are all the fun extra additions to your stationery set and where creativity can turn a regular setting into an extraordinary event. We can create custom seating charts, menu cards, programs, labels, monogrammed napkins, table numbers, signature drink signs, and much more, just ask! We encourage you to take full advantage of receiving a custom experience that offers you an opportunity to make your day extra special in every way!

Do you assemble the invites or design elements that require it?

Again, this all depends on the situation. We highly recommend that our experts do the assembly for you, but if you want to put your own product together we can surely instruct you how to do that as well.
